CFW – Carbon Fiber Ware – is a small dedicated team based in The Netherlands that has its roots in industrial & mechanical design, advanced materials, sales & marketing and music industry.

CFW partners with specialists in lightweight materials such as carbon fiber and precision machining. Some of us are musicians that envision drum hardware that is lighter and easier to use through the application of advanced materials and intelligent designs. Our mission is to be the front runner in making this happen.

What started out forty years ago as a highly exotic material is now a part of our everyday lives. Compared to metals like steel or aluminum, carbon fiber is super lightweight, super strong and super stiff.

Cars & Sports

Formula 1, NASCAR, and high-end cars are using carbon fiber. Formula 1 racing cars use carbon fiber for the chassis, monoque, suspension, wings and engine cover. Car parts made of carbon fiber have been used for decades in European supercars, from the likes of Ferrari, Maserati and McLaren.

Applications in sports are very wide ranging – from hockey sticks, tennis rackets and golf clubs to mountain bikes and protective helmets for rock climbers, horse riders and motorcyclists. Carbon fiber provides strength and weight reduction across all sports equipment.

Aerospace and space were some of the first industries to adopt carbon fiber. Today carbon fiber is used in components and structures of planes like Boeing’s 787 Dreamliner and Airbus’s A350 where its superior strength to weight ratio far exceeds that of any metal.

CFW is designing and manufacturing a new line of revolutionary drum hardware based on advanced materials such as carbon fiber. The products have less weight and a different look & feel than traditional hardware.

Easy to Use and Transport

CFW hardware is intuitive and simple to use, easy to set up and tear down. The ergonomically friendly, flexible and modular system is ultra light and has a minimal volume during transportation.

Minimal Visual Impact

CFW hardware is unobtrusive: it supports the mounting of drums, cymbals and other percussion instruments without blocking line-of-sight. Supporting the musician and its instrument.
